LWC APPEALS TO THE RESIDENTS OF LEKKI, IKOYI AND VICTORIA ISLAND ANNEX OVER DISRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLY

Lagos Water Corporation has appealed to the general public for the discomfort and inconveniences presently experienced over temporary disruption of water supply in some parts of Lagos metropolis, especially Lekki, Ikoyi and Victoria Island Annex axis of the State due to power outage from its Independent Power Plants at Lekki.

In a statement released today at the Water House, Ijora, Lagos by the Group Managing Director, Lagos Water Corporation, Engr. Muminu Badmus, ?the disruption of water supply being experienced presently is due to power outage from IPP which has adversely affected the Water Production at our Lekki, Alexander and Victoria Island Annex Waterworks”.

The Corporation is currently working relentlessly on alternative power supply to restore power to our Waterworks as soon as possible.

While reiterating the Corporation?s commitment towards providing un-interrupted water supply in the State, the LWC Boss regrets all inconveniences resulting from the disruption during this period and appreciates the understanding and Cooperation of the general public, as the problem is for a short while.
