DR. ADEJARE CHARGES LWC RESTRUCTURING TOWARDS IMPROVED SERVICE DELIVERY

The Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare has reiterated that restructuring of LWC will further reposition the Corporation for improved service delivery. Dr. Adejare said today while paying a courtesy visit to LWC, HQ., Ijora, Lagos.

He said the MD/CEO and the Management Staff of the Corporation need to work with his office towards achieving the set goals of the Corporation.

He said the present production capacity of 210MGD is far below the State water demand of 540MGD, adding that ?we to need to quickly tackle the challenges facing the Corporation, so that we can deliver on our mandate for effective service delivery?.

The Commissioner for Environment said the rehabilitation of mini/micro waterworks is important to the State because Lagosians are closer to these water plants and if they are in good shape, that’s means the Corporation is truly working to serve the people?.

He advised the Corporation to be more devoted to the ongoing rehabilitation exercise, because His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State will be happy for the success of the project.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Adejare commended the MD/CEO, LWC, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus for his relentless efforts towards improved service delivery and urged all the Staff to support him for the progress of the Corporation, he concluded.
