LWC BEGINS SENSITIZATION ON INSTALLATION OF PRE-PAID METERS, SETS TO PROSECUTE OFFENDERS

The Lagos State Water Corporation, LWC, has finalized arrangement on Sensitization of the general public on Installation of Pre-paid Meters across Lagos State. The sensitization exercise will commence in the following areas of the State: Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Alexander on the 5th of August, 2017.

This is a follow-up to the on-going installation of pre-paid meters in Lekki, Victoria Island, Victoria Island Annex, Surulere, Itire, Iwaya, Yaba/Ebute Metta.

Other areas are Magodo, Omole, MKO Abiola garden and Ikeja of Lagos State.

?LWC Staff, Contractors and Consultants are already on the field for sensitization, installation, and customer education on the metering scheme?.

In a statement released by the Managing Director/CEO of the Corporation, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus, move was in line with the Lagos State Government policy to ensure accurate and efficient billing of LWC customers.

Engr. Muminu therefore warned the members of the public to desist from tampering with the water meters, as anybody caught in the act shall be prosecuted according to the existing Lagos State laws,?

The Corporation solicited support from the public, emphasizing that it was mandatory to install meters in all government properties, he said.
