World Water-Tech Innovation Summit – FEBRUARY

World Water-Tech Innovation Summit is platform where Water utility leaders, start-ups, technology giants, engineers and investors from all over the globe come together to find solutions to today’s challenges of digitalization, security, energy recovery and new water resources. This year’s edition will hold in February.


World Water Day – MARCH 22ND

World Water Day is an annual UN observance day (always on 22 March) that highlights the importance of freshwater. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. World Water Day is celebrated around the world with a variety of events.


Climate Change Summit – BETWEEN MARCH AND APRIL

Climate change which is caused substantially by the emission of Greenhouse gases into the atmosphere has indeed become one of the most threatening contemporary environmental issues across the globe. This event is marked between March and April every year.


Lagos Economic Summit APRIL

The event in celebrated yearly by Lagos State Government to leverage on the economic growth on the African continent and Nigeria, making sure that people, especially in the grass root level are included in the process of economic growth in the State. The summit usually focuses on investment opportunities in the state, in order to reduce infrastructure gaps, create employment and improve the living standards of the increasing population in the state. It holds annually in April.


Lagos Housing FairMAY

Right from the time the first edition of the Lagos Housing Fair was held in 2001, the event has gone on to become an annual event that has served as an avenue for Stakeholders / key players in the Nigerian Building and Construction Industry to meet, interact and exchange ideas. The event has been described as a fertile ground for promoting business. The event holds annually in May.


Lagos Service Charter Week MAY

The Lagos State Government introduced the annual Service Charter Week to institutionalize the Service Charter initiative, to ensure that a clear framework and well defined strategy is put in place to deal with all service gaps and failures,

The acknowledgement of the Service Charter Week is considered to be a veritable tool for excellent service delivery in Lagos. It holds yearly in May.


World Environment Day – JUNE

The World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year to draw world’s attention to the urgent need to save our environment. As it is the practice, the Lagos State Government joined the rest of the world to celebrate the event annually.


Public Service Day – JUNE

The Public Service Day is recognized as a very important initiative to appreciate workers in the Public Service. It includes appreciating the productive and outstanding efforts of the State Public Servants for effective and efficient service delivery at all levels in the State. All African Countries have set aside every 23rd of June as the Public Service Day.


West Africa Water Expo – JULY

The West Africa Water Expo is world renowned yearly event organized by players in the West African water industry to create an avenue to introduce new players into the water industry and help spark the debates which will eventually change the way business is done in the sector. This will ensure adequate supply and distribution of clean water in West Africa. This year’s edition will hold in July.


World Habitat Day – OCTOBER

The United Nations has designated the first Monday of October of every year as World Habitat Day. The purpose of World Habitat Day is to reflect on the state of our towns and cities, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. It is also intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.


Lagos International Trade Fair – NOVEMBER

Lagos International Trade Fair is organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The Fair which is staged with the support and co-operation of the Federal and the State Governments covers all aspects of business and economic activities in Nigeria. It offers a unique exposition for manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and users of a wide range of goods and services as well as opportunities for investment and trade promotion. It holds in November yearly.
