Engr. Muminu Badmus is a highly proficient Mechanical Engineer who is a thirty-year veteran of the engineering profession. He is a Graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of the District of Columbia, Washington DC, and also holds a Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Howard University, Washington DC.
He was a Manager in Sewer Construction and Repair in DC Water, and Manager, construction projects in DC water. He was also the Programme Manager, Sewer Pumping Branch in DC Water and Project manager, Water and Sewer Authority, Washington DC. He later served in the Prince William County Government as VA Engineer.
Based on his professional antecedent as a thorough bred professional, Engr Muminu Badmus was appointed in 2015 as the Group Managing Director of the Lagos Water Corporation. Since assumption of duty in LWC, he has introduced some innovation towards ensuring good service delivery in water production in Lagos State. He is also championing the organization’s efforts to develop and implement a plan that will restore high production capacity, bridge the water demand gap, improve service delivery, and build customer trust in the State’s water utility.
Engr. Badmus is a member of various professional bodies including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and Water Environmental Federation among others. He has equally authored and presented several papers at national and international conferences.
Engineer Johnson joined the Corporation in June 2012 as Executive Director in charge of Operations. He qualified in the United Kingdom with both Mechanical Engineering and Production Engineering Degrees.
He spent two decades working for Thames Water Utilities in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Ogunlana holds B. Sc Geology (University of Ife), M.sc Hydrogeology and Water Resources Management (UCL. UK), Advanced Certificate in Project Management (University of Lagos). He is also a registered member of COMEG.
He has 28 years of work experience with LWC and has worked in Water Resources Department, Investment Planning/Options in PPP, EPC Public Contracts/ World Bank Financed Projects. Presently the Head of the Strategy and Projects Department.
Mr. Osinaike holds B.sc Accountancy from University of Ife now Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).
He has 29 years post graduate experience in both Private and Public Sectors. He started his working career with Volkswagen of Nigeria, Adeisa, Durojaiye & Co (Chartered Accountants) before joining the Lagos Water Corporation in 1993 as Manager Accounts. He has since worked as Controller Accounts, Banking & Income Manager (Commercial), Project Accountant in project Implementation Unit (PIU), and he is presently the of Risk Management Department.
Engr. Ijaiya holds B. Eng (Civil), P.G.D. (Computer Science) and M.Sc. (Construction Technology). He is a registered member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria and Nigerian Society of Engineers.
He joined the Corporation in 1987. He attended a course on World Bank Procurement in Accra, Ghana. His Engineering practice spans a period of 27yrs.
He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He joined the Corporation in 1986 and has served in various capacities in the Production and Engineering Departments.
He is presently the Head of the Production Department.
He holds a B.Sc degree in Political Science and M.sc in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management both from the University of Lagos. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (CIPSMN). He had a brief stint in Private Sector before joining the Corporation.
He is presently the Head, Property and General Services.
She holds Bachelor of Arts in History and M.Sc in International Relations, both from University of Ife. She is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.
She was employed in 1987 and began her career in the Human Resources Department (then known as Administrative Department). She served as Area Secretary in the Commercial Department from 1999 – 2000 and also, Head of Administration in the Training and Technical Research Centre, (2002 – 2008). She was redeployed to the Human Resources Department in 2008.
He holds B.sc Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University and also a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria
He started his career in Lagos Water Corporation as Manager Accounts and later Manager, Internal Audit, Financial Analyst/Asset Register Assistant in Project Implementation Unit, Controller Planning, Assistant General Manager Corporate Planning and Budget, Head (Monitoring & Evaluation Unit. He is presently a Director in the Risk Management Department.
Mr. Aro holds Higher National Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo Lagos. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in November 2002. A well grounded Accountant who joined the Corporation in 1991, he has worked and garnered experience in both public and private sectors.
He has worked in the Commercial Department, Finance and Accounts Department, Projects Account, before moving to the Audit Department in January 2009 as the Assistant General Manager (Audit) Department. He is currently the Head, Project Accounts
Mr. Johnson Olu-Young
Director, Task Force
Mr. Olu-Young holds B.sc and Msc. Degrees in Psychology and M.sc in Organisational Behaviour from the University of Lagos. He is an Alumnus of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Badagry and Centre for Management Development (CMD), Lagos where he attended the Advanced Train-the-trainer.
Also a member of Nigerian Institute for Training and Development. He is currently a Director in Task Force Department.
Engr, Ibrahim holds a National Diploma in Land Surveying and a degree in Civil Engineering. He also holds a Masters Degree in Construction Management and is a member of the Council of Registered Civil Engineers of Nigeria (COREN).
He joined Lagos Water Corporation in 1994, and has served in different capacities in the distribution department of the Corporation. A project engineer for World Bank, and formerly the head of distribution. He is presently the Head of Technical Services.
Engr, Abass, Adeyemi Babatunde, Deputy Director, is presently the Head, Distribution.
An alumnus of the University of Lagos Akoka, where he earned Bachelor science (Hons.) degree in Civil Engineering, he joined Lagos Water Corporation in July 1991 as Assistant Engineer 11.
He has worked in various Zonal, District and Area Offices of the Corporation. He is a member of Council of Registered Civil Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) and graduate member of Nigeria Society of Engineers [MNSE].
He holds a B.sc (Hons) Business Administration from prestigious University of Lagos. Owing to his unbridled desire for knowledge, he acquired Post Graduate Diploma (Accountancy) and later became a Certified National Accountant.
Adefolaju is a seasoned Public Sector Accountant and Auditor who had a brief stint with Ondo State Government. He served in the Office of State Auditor General as Senior Auditor in charge of Parastatals and Government Agencies. He joined the service of the Lagos Water Corporation in June 1992 as Audit Manager. He is currently Head of Internal Audit.
Mr. Adio Lawal Akapo
Head, Customer Care
He holds a degree in Philosophy from the Ogun State University Ago-Iwoye (1990), and a Masters in Transport Planning from the Lagos State University (1998).
He joined Lagos Water Corporation in the year 1992 as an Assistant Zonal Manager, Lagos Island Office, and later became the Zonal Manager of the Lagos Island Office, a position he occupied from the year 1997 to 1998. Lawal-Akapo has occupied many notable positions in the Organisation, where he proved to be very effective. He is presently the Head of the Customer Care Unit.
She holds a degree in Microbiology from the University of Lagos (1990), and had a brief stint in the private sector before joining Lagos Water Corporation in the year 1992, as an Assistant Commercial Officer. She became Head, Enumeration in the year 1998, and held this position for many years before she became controller, Water Quality assurance in the year 2007.
Williams is presently the head of the Health Security and Safety Department.
Mr. Michael Oyeyinka Ajose holds a Bsc degree in Biochemistry from the Lagos State University, and Msc in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos, PGD in Computer Science from University of Lagos, MBA in Marketing from University of Lagos and PGD in HSSE from University of Lagos. He is an Associate member of Nigerian Institute of Management and also a member of Nigerian Water Supply Association.
Mr. Ajose has a wide experience in Commercial management from both local and international training. Mr. Ajose has a wealth of experience in Water Utility organisation as he has been working in the Corporation for over two decades.
He has served in various capacities in the Corporation which includes Commercial Liaison Officer, Zonal Commercial Manager, Area Secretary, Area Manager, District Commercial Manager and Regional Business Manager.
He is presently the Head of the Sales & Commercial Department.
He holds B.A English from Ogun State University [now Olabisi Onabanjo University]. He also obtained Advanced Certificate in Public Relations from University of Lagos in 1996 and thereafter proceeded to Times Journalism Institute in 1997 where he was awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism.
Mr. Akinmuleya was employed by the Lagos State Government as Information Officer in Ministry of Information and Strategy where he worked in various capacities. These include Yaba Local Council Development, Lagos Mainland Local Government, Ministry of Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation [WAPA] and were deployed to Lagos Water Corporation. He is presently the Head, Corporate Communications.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ado-Ekiti (1992), and holds an MBA from Ambrose-Alli University (2000). He became a member of the Council of Registered Civil Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) in the year 2005, and became a Chattered Procurement Specialist in 2013.
Adebola joined the Corporation in the year 1995, and has worked in various departments of the Organisation. He is currently the Head of Procurement.
Mr. Sheriff Akinpelu holds Bachelor of Arts in History from the Lagos State University (1990), and in 1994, he obtained a Postgraduate degree in Public Relations from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ). He also holds a Postgraduate degree in Public Affairs from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), with specialisation in Public Enterprises Management (2008).
He joined Lagos Water Corporation in the year 1992 and worked as the District Manager of Ogudu Zone from the year 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2016, Akinpelu served as the District Manager of Ikeja Zone before he was eventually transferred to the Head Office in Ijora.
He is currently the Head of the Admin & HR Department.
Mr. Oriola holds a B Sc. in Computer Sciences from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (UNAAB). He joined Lagos Water Corporation in December, 1994 and has served with extensive experience and training in Information Technology. He previously worked with the Corporate Planning Department before transferred to the Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T) Department now ICT.
Oriola is a registered member of the National Institute of Management (MNIM) and a member of the Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria. (CPN). He is currently the Head of the Information, Communication and Technology Department.
Ms. Opeifa holds Higher National Diploma, Business Administration and Management from Federal Poly, Bauchi and Masters in Public Administration from Delta State University, Abraka. She is a member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria.
She joined the Corporation in 1992. She had worked in the Commercial Department before moving to Budget and Planning Department and now the Head of the Corporate Planning and Budget.
Mr. Omotayo holds a BSc. in Microbiology from the University of Lagos (1988). He joined the Corporation in 1996 as a Water Quality Assurance officer, and from the year 2009-2014 he was the Water Quality Assurance officer in charge of Adiyan Waterworks, and from the year 2014 he became the head of the Adiyan Waterworks laboratory, a post he held till the year 2017.
Presently, he heads the Water Quality Assurance Department as a whole.
Mr. Fashola Olanrewaju holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Lagos State University (LL.B) and Barrister at Law (BL.) He is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has practised in various fields of the legal profession in the private sector before joining Lagos Water Corporation in the year 2002.
He belongs to various professional bodies. These include The Nigerian Bar Association, International Bar Association, The Institute Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria and (Nigerian Water Supply Association). He is currently the Corporation Secretary/Legal Adviser and Head of the Legal Division.
Mr. Segun Odunuga holds a Higher National Diploma degree in Civil Engineering from Yaba College of Technology (1992), and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Abubakar Tafa Balewa University (1999).
He obtained an MBA in Marketing from the same University in the year 2001.
Odunuga was the Area Manager/ District Manager of the South-East Region, Lagos Water Corporation from 2006 to 2011, and was also the District Manager of the South-East Region from 2011 to 2016.
He is presently the Head of the Network Intelligence, Metering and Enforcement Department.
Mr. Ariyibi holds a Higher National Diploma degree in Business Administration from the Yaba College of Technology (1998), and has over the years successfully participated in various professional workshops in reputable institutes in the Country.
He joined Lagos Water Corporation in 1992 as a Commercial Staff, and was later deployed to the Supply and Logistics department (Stores) in 1999 as a Store Supervisor. Over the years he has worked at different zones of the Corporation as a Stores Officer before he got transferred to the Headquarters in 2014, as a Chief Stores Officer, to coordinate stores activities. He is presently the head of the Warehouse and Stores department.
