LWC boss charges Staff to be committed to “Change Management” Initiative, as the 2-day training ends.
Lagos Water Corporation Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus has charged the Corporation’s Staff to be committed to the change Management Initiative, as LWC completed the 2-day Change Management Training. The training took place at the National Power Training Institute, Surulere, Lagos, between Tuesday 26th – Wednesday 27th September, 2017.
The training/workshop was designed to further change the LWC management attitude to the Organisation and work towards better LWC and improved service delivery to the Lagosians.
The “Change Management” objectives highlighted among other things: Why and how change occurs; Attitude to change: essential tools; Coping with change and LWC is changing.
In the later stage issues regarding
Change requirements were discussed. Issues such as: Sociology of change, The politics of change; and The ethics of change.
While declaring the workshop open, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus said a LWC consulting firm, E.Y. consulting had earlier proposed Change Management Training for the Corporation which is now happening today.
MD added that at the end of this program, all of us would experience what change really is.
He urged every participants to take the training/workshop seriously because it will guide our day-to-day activities of our business endeavour.
Engr. badmus, in his statement charged the Staff to be more committed to the Corporation and make it a better place to work so that we can leave a legacy behind for our Children.
The training facilitator, Professor Segun Gbadegesin in his lecture said “as a management staff you are not resistant to change, and the reason you are here today is for the change to work”.
” To encourage people to come to change”.
He reiterated that Change is the reality of life, Organisation changes because the environment is not static.
“when an organisation is not making progress, the organisation sacrifice something, and bring about changes to the Organisation”.
The renowned lecturer added that for there be changes, you have to live your comfort zones to bring about the changes you desire.
” Revolution is a combination or aggregation of so many problems that come together to bring about the changes”.
Proff. Gbadegesin said change reflect on the Organisation due to the changes in the attitude of the management staff who are equipped to bring about the changes.
The mission and vision will be influenced by the changes going in and around the Organisation/management, changes also affect the service we rendered to the members of the public, he said.
Engr. Muminu later thanked the facilitator, organiser and the entire Staff for making the workshop a reality.
