LWC REGRETS DISRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLY TO SOME PARTS OF LAGOS METROPOLIS

Lagos Water Corporation has appealed to the general public over the disruption of water supply to some parts of Lagos metropolis.

In a statement issued today at the Lagos Water House Ijora Lagos, the Corporation?s Managing Director, Engr. Muminu Badmus said the disruption of water production and supply is due to electricity surge which ruptured all jumper fuses on Monday 8th May, 2017, at 5pm. resulting in power outage at Adiyan Waterworks which affected the smooth running of water facilities at the Waterworks.

Also, power supply to Iju Waterworks has been erratic making water production unstable, and the prohibitive nature of running diesel-powered generators has made water production irregular.

While expressing his concern over the developments, the MD assured the residents in the affected areas that water will be restored as soon as possible, as Engineers are currently working to rectify the situation.

The Corporation regrets inconveniences resulting from the disruption of water during this period and solicits the support of the general public towards ensuring stable Water supply in the State.
