LWC CONDOLES WITH FAMILY OF LATE BRIGADIER GENERAL MOBOLAJI OLUFUNSO JOHNSON

Lagos Water Corporation today Thursday 31st October, 2019 joined other eminent personalities in Nigeria, particularly, Lagos State to pay condolence visit to the Family of the late first Military Governor of Lagos State, Brigadier General Mobolaji Olufunso Johnson (rtd) who passed on yesterday 30th October, 2019 at the age of 83, at about 4:15pm.

The LWC delegate was led by Engr. Suraj Ijaiya, Executive Director, Engineering and Technical Services (ETS).

While presenting the Corporation’s Letter of Condolence to the family member, Engr. Ijaiya said “the Management and Staff of Lagos Water Corporation were saddened to hear the death of the first Military Governor of Lagos State, Brigadier general Mobolaji Johnson”

He added that the Corporation pray to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the huge and monumental loss of the great statesman.

“May his gentle soul rest in peace”, he said.

Other Management Staff present during the visit included, Mrs. Aramide Alaka, Mr. Aro Ibrahim, Engr. Abbas Adeyemi, Engr. Ibraheem Yunusa, Mr. Sheriff Akinpelu, Mrs. Opeifa Silifat., Mrs. Sain John, Mr. Imam Lateef, Mr. Anifowoshe Rasaq and Mrs. Vero Onyagada

Late Brigadier general Johnson was the State Governor from May 1967 to July 1975 during the military regime of General Yakubu Gowon.
