LASG IS COMMITTED TOWARDS PROVISION OF POTABLE WATER SUPPLY FOR ALL

Lagos State Government is committed towards provision of Potable Water Supply for all in the State.

This assertion was made by the Special Adviser to the Governor, Parastatal Monitoring Office (PMO), Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo during his courtesy visit to the Water House, Ijora, on Wednesday 27th November, 2019.

The Special Adviser revealed that “the vision of the present administration is to make Lagos State a 21st Century State, by providing potable water for every Lagosians”.

In his reaction/contribution to the Corporation’s efforts to improve water supply in the State, Mr. Ayantayo promised his support for the Corporation in ensuring that water is available in every home.

While appreciating the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his commitment and efforts towards moving the State forward, particularly the Corporation, in the area of settlement of benefits and others, the LWC GMD/CEO, Engr. Muminu Badmus asked the PMO to join him to thank the Governor for coming to the Corporation’s rescue during the difficult time.

He however commended the Parastatal Monitoring Office (PMO), stating that the Corporation has benefited immersely from his team.

Engr. Badmus however, appealed to the Special Adviser to assist the Corporation in its numerous challenges which affecting its mandate of production and supply of potable water supply to Lagosians.

The challenges are: Epileptic power supply; Staff Shortage; Ageing Infrastructure; Non Implementation of Budgets; Payment of Retirement Benefits; Indiscriminate digging of borehole; Appointment of Staff/Workers, amongst other.

Mr. Ayantayo was accompanied to the Water House by the Permanent Secretary, (PMO), Mr. Adeyemi Taofeeq Fashola and other Senior members of the Monitoring Office.
