Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Ikeja Branch and Association of Professional Women Engineers in Nigeria (APWEN), Lagos Charpter today Wednesday 11th March, 2020 paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos Water Corporation Headquarters, Water-House, Ijora, Lagos, as the two Engineering bodies honoured the Lagos Water Corporation, Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus for his contributions and support towards Engineering Profession.

In her statement, the Chairman, NSE, Ikeja Branch, Engr. Mrs. Funmilade Akingbagbohun, FNSE, FNiMechE, said “we are here on a courtesy visit to the Water-House and to appreciate Engr. Badmus for his contribution towards the Engineering Professions”.

She also stated that its part of the NSE vision to encourage and  mentor young Engineers and raise them towards Practical knowledge.

The Chairman, APWEN Lagos Chapter, Engr. Mary Afolayan, in her contribution said, the honour is needful as Engr. Badmu’s contribution has not gone unnoticed. She asserted that APWEN is  introducing girls to Science, Technology, Engineering Mathematics (STEM) to encourage girls to practice Engineering as a profession.

While appreciating the gestures and accolades, the LWC Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Badmus thanked the Professionals bodies for the honours and also for keeping the Profession alive.

He however promised a continuous partnership towards moving the Profession to a greater heights.

Accompanied the two Engineering Chairmen, were the Immediate Past Chairman NSE, Ikeja Branch, Engr. Akintayo Akintola; Immediate Past Chairman APWEN, Lagos Chapter, Engr. Laolu Aisida; Financial Secretary, NSE, Ikeja Branch, Engr. Majonagbe Adebayo and Admin Manager, Ikeja Branch, Mr. Ogunmoriyele Ayodeji.

Also at the meeting with LWC boss were Engr. Bright Oridami, Mrs. Kehinde Fashola and Mr. Anifowoshe Rasaq
