LWC ATTRIBUTES CURRENT WATER DISTRUPTION TO THE UNDERGROUND CABLE FAULT AT AKUTE INTAKES

Lagos Water Corporation has attributed the current/temporary water disruption to some parts of the State to the underground cable fault at Akute Intakes.

This was contained in a statement released by the Corporation over the weekend in Lagos.

LWC explained that “the heavy downpour of last Thursday affected the Akute Intakes High Tension (HT) lines and stirred the underground cable supplying power to the Adiyan waterworks”.

While explaining further, the Corporation added that the problem has disrupted operations at the Adiyan waterworks, thereby interrupted production and supply of potable water to the residents.

LWC however assured the general public, particularly, those that have been affected with the water disruption that efforts are ongoing to fix the fault and restore potable water supply soon.

The Corporation therefore appealed to the residents to bear with LWC, while thanking them for their continuous understanding cooperation and support.
