CURRENT POWER OUTAGE DISRUPTS WATER OPERATIONS AT LWC ADIYAN, IJU WATER PLANTS

…reassures its commitment to improve water supply in the State.

Lagos Water Corporation has attributed the present disruption of Water supply to some parts of the State to the current power outage which adversely affected water production at the LWC Adiyan, Iju Major Waterworks and Akute Intakes only, as operations ongoing at the other Mini Waterworks across the State.

This was contained in a Press Statement released today, Sunday 3rd, October, 2021, in Lagos.

The Corporation in its statement explained that the “current power outage affected operations at the major water plants of Adiyan, Iju and Akute Intakes, noting that operations are ongoing at the other Mini Waterworks in the State”.

LWC therefore regrets any inconveniences caused and assured the general public of restoration Water supply to the affected areas soon, as effort is ongoing by the IKDEC to rectify the problem and restore power supply.

The Corporation however reassured the residents that LWC is relentlessly working to improve water supply in the State, thanking Lagosians for their Cooperation and Understanding.
