Lagos Water Corporation (LWC), has revealed that it has concluded plans to embark on implementing a comprehensive reviewed water supply operational plan that will deliver improved access to quality water supply services in the State.

The Managing Director Lagos Water Corporation, Engineer Mukhtaar Tijani who disclosed this to journalists in Lagos said the state government is investing strategically in building safe drinking water systems in the state. These investments, he said, therefore called for a thorough review of operational procedures to ensure sustainability.

He also assured that moribund equipment of the Corporation would be revamped in order to meet up with the present day need of potable water.

“We are committed to ensuring safe quality water supply service delivery to every household and businesses in our areas of operation. Our existing production facilities and the associated water supply distribution networks will be aggregated to improve efficiency and reduce water losses through leakages”, Engr. Tijani said.

This according to him, would expand the agency’s reach to underserved areas within the state, meaning that all residents would now get to enjoy improved access to reliable water supply.

Mr. Tijani also urged the valued customers of the corporation to support these initiatives by ensuring the prompt settlement of bills and promptly reporting any incidents of leaking pipes in their areas for swift repairs. He further explained that leaking pipes should be reported to LWC branches within the regions where they are detected or by calling the following numbers: 07045973012, 07045973013, 07033261974, or 07033207647.

Lagos Water Corporation is committed to delivering safe and accessible water supply services, and these measures are integral to achieving this goal.
