LWC RESTORES WATER SUPPLY
Lagos Water Corporation has restored water supply to some parts of the metropolis recently affected by epileptic water supply due to burst pipes and power supply.
In a statement issued at the Water House, Ijora, Lagos, the Corporation’s Managing Director, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus said the Lagos Water Corporation has resumed water production and supply at Alausa Waterworks, the Waterworks recently stopped water production because of Pipe burst around the Round house at the Secretariat. He said the burst had since been fixed and the Waterworks back to production and supply.
Also in a similar incident, Adiyan Plant, a major waterworks was shut down recently because the 33kva line that supplied the headworks with five spans was blown off by rain storm, the MD stated that power restoration has commenced immediately, and power was restored to the headworks. Water production has since been commenced.
While appreciating the members of the public over the incidents, engr. Badmus said “we appreciate your patience and understanding as our sincere efforts are geared towards ensuring quality, improved, safe and regular water supply for the benefit of the residents of Lagos State”, he concluded.
